Accuracy first

How to improve typing accuracy

Accuracy practice is about recognizing why a mistake happened. A mistyped letter, a missing space, and a repeated punctuation error may need different exercises.

Look for a pattern

Review the weak-character summary after a session. A frequent error on one letter may reflect an unfamiliar reach; errors clustered at sentence boundaries may reflect punctuation or capitalization. Choose one pattern rather than trying to fix everything at once.

Slow down at the difficult part

Type a short phrase containing the problem combination. For example, use “Please review the final report.” to practise a capital letter and a full stop together. Maintain a comfortable pace on the rest of the sentence.

Understand corrections

Typing On keeps corrected mistakes separate from errors left in the passage. Its accuracy uses all evaluated insertion attempts, so deleting a mistake does not erase the attempt from the accuracy calculation. This makes repeated corrections visible.

Review before increasing difficulty

Complete another session with similar settings. If the same pattern appears less often, continue; otherwise shorten the exercise and check your finger movement or input method. A clean, controlled sentence is a useful step forward.
