TYPING ON

A practice space more people can use

We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA and welcome specific feedback.

Built-in support

The interface includes visible keyboard focus, semantic landmarks, a skip link, labelled controls, responsive layouts, reduced-motion support, light and dark themes, and native right-to-left input where appropriate.

Using the studio

Use Tab to move between controls and Enter or Space to activate buttons. The passage is readable text above the input. Correct, incorrect, and current units have additional visual treatments, not color alone. The timer is visible; status messages announce major changes without reading every clock tick.

Input and browser requirements

A current browser with Unicode grapheme segmentation is required for scored tests. Use an installed input method for the chosen script. Educational pages remain readable without JavaScript.

Known limits

A full independent accessibility audit and assistive-technology review have not been completed. A grapheme-by-grapheme display and timed copying may still present barriers. The Arabic and Urdu interfaces require additional native-user review.

Report a barrier

Contact infotypingon@gmail.com with the page, browser, assistive technology if relevant, and the task you were trying to complete. Share only information you are comfortable sending.
